      The most common place for cancer to occur is in the skin with over 100,000 patients diagnosed each year. But because there are different types of skin cancer, breast cancer is often mentioned as the most prolific cancer with 45,000 new diagnoses each year followed by lung cancer. This data is for the UK as in some other countries, lung cancer is more prevelent due to smoking and pollutants and industrial exposure
