In my research career I have worked in London, Bath, and Southampton in the UK and Calgary in Canada. I have also visited other countries on conferences which is a perk of the job. We get to visit all over the world and talk about our work, so just a few weeks ago I was in Munich and I have lectured in Japan, Brazil, New Hampshire, USA and many other places around Europe and the US.

Sometimes doing science has realy good perks especially if I can take my family along too

I have been very lucky and travelled quite a lot for my work: USA, India, a few places in Europe. I tend to travel a fair bit for my current job: all over Wales, Bath, Cambridge and London quite frequently!

It’s nice to get out of the office, but it usually means you have loads of emails to catch up on!
