Big fan of Kasabian, the Ting Tings, Razorlight, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Stone Roses, list goes on and on.

But mainly I listen to nursery rhymes and Lemon jelly since my son screams his little head off if anything else is put on the stereo. Whining is very annoying.

It really depends… I like a lot of VERY different music.

I actually like the music from computer games. I once made a cassette (not a CD, but old fashioned audio cassette) with the music from my favourite computer games. It is in the car and, if I’m not listening to the radio for news or something, it is what is playing. It has been in the car since at LEAST 2007. I must have played it 1000s of times. On that tape is snatches of music from Morrowind, Baldur’s Gate, Thief – the Dark Project, Oblivion, Shadow of the third moon, Der Hobbit, Die Siedler (= original German version of the game Settlers) and others. More recently, I’ve been listening to the theme tunes from the games Eschalon I & II and Silent Hunter III.

But my profile question asked for my favourite band or singer. I couldn’t really put a computer game as a band, so then my favourite would have to be “Juli” (a German alternate rock band), with “Wir Sind Helden” (another German alternate rock band) a close second. These are great for doing work around the house.

The actual last concert I went to was “In Flames” (Swedish heavy metal).

I also like some classical music. Especially Bach, but Elgar is also good. My favourite classical piece is “Die Hebriden” by Mendelssohn.

And the music on my mobile telephone is “I am the Doctor”, from the Doctor Who science fiction series.

A wide range of music, as I mentioned in my profile: Bob Marley, Mumford & Sons, Tracey Chapman, Dizzee Rascal, LTJ Bukem, Oasis, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Prince…so hard to list!

I think my music tastes have widened from what I used to listen to when I was a teenager (mostly hip-hop and drum’n’bass), but not a big fan of what is usually in the charts…

tammyjammy – were you the person that recommended Tokio Hotel to me cos I listened to it and really liked it!! Nice recommendation!

I like kind of rocky stuff. I arrange my playlists in terms of moods: energy, mellow, happy, sad etc! Energy and mellow are my most listened to!

The bands I like are the Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Evanescence, The Fray (from scrubs soundtrack), the Killers, Metallica, Muse, Nickelback, REM, Semisonic, Tenacious D, and Johnny Cash. (i’ve literally just gone through my ipod most played to give you this list!)

But to be honest, I think all kinds of music have their times and places! I listen to grime and dubstep on radio 1 xtra when tidying and cleaning! And I have been to see classical music in concert halls and really loved it (but I did fall asleep…) And I like something upbeat and cheesy to dance around to when getting ready in the morning like Lady GaGa or something! 😀
