Students often think they need to know things. Sure, that’s true enough. But they often get the wrong meaning of the word “know”. Compare the difference between knowing a person and knowing _of_ a person. If you know someone – as in really know them – you will understand them, be able to predict what they’d do, be able to work with them, be able to communicate in their language. However, if you only know of them, you might just know their name or something, but that doesn’t really help much. So my advice to any student is to “know” their subjects. Not just know _about_ their subjects, but really get to know them… all their little details, what their language is, what makes them tick, how to they relate to other subjects, what is important to them. Sure that requires study. You have to go over things again and again, try things out, do little experiments, read about relative topics, put things into context. But by knowing your subjects, you will excel at them and, also, as you get to know them, you’ll start to enjoy them too.

Enjoy what you learn (even if every class youi take isn’t your favourite) because there is always something interesting if you look hard enough. And you want to find your daily life interesting, I guess, because life is there to be enjoyed.
Also, you will probably forget most of what you learn, it is sad to say. So make sure you know best what you will really really really need on a daily basis as an adult -mainly, maths, reading and writing, and IT skills.
(PS I know from all my typos it sounds like I haven’t learned how to write, but really it’s just my typing….there are too many questions to answer.) -

My advice is to have fun while you are still at school. Yes it’s important to study hard come exam time, but the rest of the time you should be having fun with your friends and making the most of what ever opportunities you can find. Get involved in some clubs at school and anything else your school does like trips abroad, duke of edinburgh awards, music, or entrepeneur stuff. It’s good to have things to put on your CV so if you don’t have the best grades, you still stand out from everybody else.
Also I think it’s a really good idea to try and get a part time job while your still at school even if it’s just something like working in a shop or a cafe. It’s really useful to get an employeers reference so it’s easier to get a job when you really need one!
