Question: was it easy to get your masters?

Well it’s a 5 year course so it’s a long time after all the work you put in at school. But i did this thing called an industrial placement in the fourth year where you go and work for a company as a scientist for a year – it’s kind of like work experience except you get paid. This really helped me because it made me realise that I was doing the right thing. It was my first time working in a really lab and i loved it! And it was a nice break from all the studying!!

My masters was my last year at uni and it was good. It reminded me of my last year of school! the exams were terrible, they were so hard!! But i got through it in the end and it was all worth it.

My graduation day was brilliant, i really felt like i’d acheived something! Uni is hard work but you’ll have the time of your life. It’s not all hard work, it’s a lot of fun too!
