• Question: How many work colleaugues do you have

      Quite a lot! I work in a university with hundreds (maybe thousands!) of staff, but in my department there are approximately 20 members of academic staff. I probably work closely with about five of them (on research and similar teaching areas).

      I work in a research group with 5 other people and one boss. My boss is a lecturer in the school of chemistry. But I pretty much work alone 🙁 I’m the only person that is working on a diagnostic blood test for cancer 🙁

      That’s a difficult one to answer. Sometimes I work alone. Sometimes there is a large group.

      I have a boss, but I only e-mail him occasionally and speak with him every 3-4 weeks.

      There are the people that I work with on the telescope construction site. There are about 4-5 in the team, but I don’t always work with all of them at once.

      There are lots of people involved, but I don’t always see them every day. We rely on e-mail to communicate a lot.

      Lots, There are 1200 research active staff at the University and I would personally know maybe 100, plus many of the support staff too.

      4 Ph.D. students, 1 research assistant, 1 other postdoc, 1 boss, + all the hundreds of people with in my Institute and outside who work on related topics. Scientists build on each others science and expertise so we all work together, even if its informally.
