1 dog (3 yr old border collie), a 4 year old ginger female cat (it is pretty rare to have a ginger that is female), and 6 yr old Siamese tomcat that nearly needed his leg amputated about 2 months ago because he was caught by a fox. It was very expensive to save his leg -I urge you all to buy pet insurance.

I have a 6 month old puppy called Banjo. He is a curly black labradoodle and he is awesome! I have had him since he was just 8 weeks old and the size of a small cat, but now he is ginormous! It’s been a really good experience training a puppy and seeing him grow and learn. I was completely amazed when his baby teeth fell out and at how quickly his adult teeth have grown in! He ate most of his baby teeth as soon as they fell out but I managed to keep a couple of them! He will eat ANYTHING! He loves to find things made of paper and then shred them and chew them up (for this reason he loves the postie!). And I’m constantly removing things from his mouth that he is not allowed to eat including my ipod which is driving me mental right now (he knows how to open my rucksack and find it!). He once got onto the kitchen table and ate an entire pack of butter. I walked into my kitchen one day and it smelled of popcorn… He has a lot of personality and even the vet says he is mental – but that after she tried to take his temperature which involves putting a thermometer up his bum for 60 seconds and he just stood there the entire time licking her face, completely unconcerned by the location of the thermometer! He forgets that he is big now and he tries to jump on my lap and curl up like he did when he was tiny, but it doesn’t really work since he is the same size as me!

I also have a guinea pig called Boris who is 6 years old and extremely long haired! He is very squeaky and cuddly and him and Banjo get on really well. Banjo always licks Boris which sounds odd but Boris seems to like it! Obviously Boris was there first so he is kind of the boss of Banjo!

And I also have 4 chickens in my back garden. Their names are Maggie, Edna, Vera and Wilma. They are all different breeds and they lay lots of eggs. I don’t know if you ever held a chicken before but they are very soft and nice to stroke! They are very friendly and I like all the clucking noises they make. My friends thought I was mad when I first got them but now some of them have chickens too now. They are really easy to look after and they eat any scraps of food so I never have to throw food away. Their favourite thing is cheese. Chickens go mad for cheese!!

      I don’t have any pets.

Occasionally at the places where I work there are wild animals that are nicee to see. My current job (which is in Finland) has lemmings and reindeer. They are really nice, but they are not pets and they come and go as they please.
