I’m not sure if it is hard or not but if you enjoy it then you will find it a lot easier to study! I think there would be a lot of maths and physics in it which are not my strong points! 🙂

It would be for me because my maths is not good! but I love planetery science especially astro biology, or the biology of the extremes as it is a fascinating topic and somewhere that biologists can mix with the astronomers.

Do you enjoy it? If so, chances are that you’ll find it not so bad. I certainly found astronomy itself easy, because I was interested in it, and was very keen to learn. It requires a lot of mathematics and physics, which you use as tools to do astronomy. Much of that is fun too, but there can certainly be times when all these subjects can be difficult to understand or require a lot of work. Calculus and quantum theory certainly spring to mind when I think of some of the things that I found difficult.

But hey… no challenge, no fun, right?

Depends on the person and the teacher. But it’s definitely interesting. Ask all the ancient civilizations and I bet they will agree (if they could answer). Astronomy has been studied for thousands and thousands of years. It was I THINK the first science.

It probably depends on whether you enjoy it or not! I think astronomy and cosmology are very interesting, but I know you need to be good at physics and mathematics.

      Do you find astronomy interesting?
