Question: do u think that lung cancer is more dangerous that breast cancer?
breast, cancer, lung
Asked by shamila121 to Tom on 21 Jun 2011.
answered on 21 Jun 2011:
No, I think both are dangerous if left untreated.
I do know certain types of breast cancer, if diagnosed early, can be easily treated, but both can be very dangerous.

Usually people say that lung cancer is more dangerous than breast cancer, because it kills more people than any other cancer. Also lung cancer is extremely aggressive and certain types of lungs cancer spread to other parts of the body very quickly. In a lot of ways breast cancer is easier to treat than lung cancer, and for example surgery is an option (surgery is one of the best ways of removing cancer from a persons body), whereas for lung cancer surgery is often not an option because of the risks.
But as Tim said, breast cancer is still extremely dangerous. 🙁

Lung cancer is often found late so the 5 year survival is only 5% compared to breast cancer which has an 80% survival at 5 years. Most lung cancer is also preventable, just don’t smoke!
